Bethany Seminary to Launch MA Connections
Since 2002, Bethany Theological Seminary has offered a Master of Divinity degree completion track titled MDiv Connections for students unable to relocate to Richmond, Indiana for long-term residency. On July 12, the Seminary received approval from its accrediting body, the Association of Theological Schools, to launch the MA Connections track. The seminary will officially enroll students in the track in the Spring 2011 semester.
Congregations are Invited to Celebrate Bethany Sunday
Church of the Brethren congregations are encouraged to uplift the mission and ministry of Bethany Theological Seminary by celebrating Bethany Sunday on September 12, 2010. Resource packets were recently mailed to all Church of the Brethren congregations that include a bulletin insert, worship resources written by Bethany students and alumni/ae, and a "Moment for Mission"--a brief update on Seminary activities.

The Church of the Brethren National Youth Conference's Monday morning, July 19 worship service has been recorded and can be viewed on the NYC page of Bethany Webcast Central. National Youth Conference is currently taking place in Fort Collins, Colorado, with nearly 3,000 persons attending.

Denise D. Kettering has been named as assistant professor of Brethren Studies. She will begin in this part-time position July 1, 2010.
Bethany Celebrates One Hundred Fifth Commencement
On Saturday May 8 Bethany Theological Seminary celebrated its one hundred fifth commencement, awarding nine students master of divinity degrees and one student a certificate of achievement in theological studies.
Bethany's Commencement is Saturday, May 8
Bethany Theological Seminary will celebrate its 105th commencement on Saturday, May 8. The occasion will be marked with two observances. A ceremony for conferring degrees will take place in Bethany's Nicarry Chapel, 615 National Road West, at 10:00 a.m. Attendance is limited to graduates and guests by invitation. At 2:30 p.m., a public worship celebration planned by the graduates will be held at Nicarry Chapel.
