"The Historic Peace Churches in Africa"
Donald E. Miller recounts Watu Wa Amani, the meeting of the Historic Peace Churches in Africa, commissioned by the World Council of Churches' (WCC) Decade to Overcome Violence.

Donald E. Miller and Scott J. Holland are the contributors of the first five articles of this issue. Miller is professor emeritus of Christian education and ethics at Bethany Theological Seminary, and Holland is Associate Professor of Peace Studies and Cross Cultural Studies at Bethany. Miller is a past member of the Central Committee of the World Council of churches and a former general secretary of the Church of the Brethren. Holland has participated in both consultations of the Historic Peace Churches sponsored by the WCC: in Bienenberg, Switzerland, and Nairobi, Kenya.
