Brethren Housing Organization (BHO) provides rental options to Bethany students at competitive rates to other property management companies in Richmond. It is a private organization, made up of Bethany supporters.

Houses are all within a mile of the Bethany campus. Rent varies by house and in most cases, utilities are the responsibility of the renter. Pets are permitted in only a few homes, and with express permission from the BHO coordinator. Kitchen and laundry appliances are provided; some houses are partially furnished.

The number of vacancies in BHO houses varies each year. Contact the Director of Student Development for information about vacancies, to arrange a tour during your campus visit, or to get in touch the coordinator for BHO rentals.

Description of Houses:

107 and 107 1/2 SW 3rd Street:

Two story house semi-divided into two apartments (shared entryway, but lower apartment can be closed off from the entryway.). The lower apartment has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, small office, bathroom, and indoor access to basement. Upper apartment has a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and outdoor access to basement. The upper apartment's living room can be a second bedroom. Laundry utilities for both apartments are in the basement.

504 SW C Street:

One story house. 2 1/2 bedrooms (or 2 bedrooms and one office), one bath, kitchen, living room, family room, laundry room. Unattached 1 car garage.

511 SW A Street:

One story house. 2 bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, living room, dining room, enclosed back porch, basement (with laundry).

231 College Avenue:

Duplex 2nd floor Suitable for one family or 3 singles. Upper level has 3 bedrooms, 1 tub/shower bath, 1 entry room. Lower level has 1 large kitchen - social area, gas range and refrigerator. Basement has washer/dryer, storage, walk out to back yard, car port with storage. All utilities included in the rent.

233 College Avenue:

Duplex 1st floor Suitable for one couple, family or 2 singles. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 shower bath, living room, eat-in kitchen, front porch, electric range and refrigerator, street parking. Washer and Dryer in the apartment. All utilities included in the rent.
