Master of Divinity
Bethany's Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program is a professional degree program designed to prepare persons for church-related ministries requiring ordination. The program combines hands-on ministry experience with classroom learning.
Twenty-seven 3-hour courses, distributed over four primary disciplines and the Ministry Formation sequence, are required for the degree.
At the heart of the M.Div. Program is Ministry Formation, a process of learning ministry by doing ministry, to which the whole curricular program contributes.
Ministry Formation features two supervised ministry experiences in two different ministry settings; One is a nine-month part-time ministry placement during the middler year, the other may be a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, a full-time intern year, or a summer, extended, or prior ministry experience.
Students may obtain their Master of Divinity degree through traditional on-campus studies, or by participating in our highly-acclaimed and fully accredited on-line program called "Connections." For more information on these options, browse our catalog on-line, or jump to the Connections page now!
