Bethany Theological Seminary is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (see About Bethany). ATS has authorized its member schools to begin offering distance education courses on a trial basis and, based on that experience, to seek approval later for a comprehensive program design. We are pleased to share that Bethany has received permanent approval for the Connections program, so our distance education option is fully accredited.

ATS accrediting guidelines require that one-third of all courses toward a degree be completed on the main campus of the degree-granting institution. Bethany assists distance students in meeting this requirement by structuring the Connections so that face-to-face hours are available through hybrid courses, weekend intensives, and two-week intensives.
